About Roberta Sisson
To deepen my experience of working with the difficulties of human existence, I began the four and a half year professional training in Core Process Psychotherapy in 2002 at the Karuna Institute. I graduated in 2007 and I am registered with the UKCP. I started my psychotherapy practice in 2004 in Devon, prior to moving to Shropshire. I have an interest in the transpersonal and spiritual. My own path is Buddhist. I have a committed meditation practice dating back for over 20 years, which sustains me though life’s ups and downs and helps me be present in my work with clients.

My “counselling” career began back in 1975 when I qualified in
Social Work with a CQSW (Bristol University) followed up with an MA in Child
Care Law and Practice (Keele University). I have worked with a diverse range of
people and their emotional, relationship and mental health difficulties – from
birth (maternity and attachment problems) to death (terminal illness and
bereavement) and at all stages in between. I was a Registered Social Worker
and worked in the post-adoption field, mainly with adults who were affected
